Four spreadsheets that use the same formulas as the calculators on this site. Download, open in Excel, LibreOffice or Google Sheets, and change the yellow cells. No sign-up, no email.
Monthly budget (50/30/20)
Plan where every part of your take-home pay goes, compared with the 50/30/20 rule of thumb, and track what you really spent.
Type your monthly take-home income in the yellow box.
Change the % for each category, or add your own in the empty rows (choose Needs, Wants or Saving).
During the month, fill in "Actually spent" and look at the difference.
Formulas only in the .xlsx files. The .csv files hold the same layout with example numbers, for apps that can't open .xlsx.
No macros and no links to other files, so they open without security warnings.
Google Sheets: in Google Drive choose New, then File upload, and open the .xlsx with Google Sheets. The formulas keep working.
Checked against the calculators. Before publishing, each spreadsheet was recalculated and its results compared with the matching calculator on this site: budget amounts, the monthly saving for a goal, and for the debt tracker the debt-free month, total interest and payoff order in three test cases.
The debt tracker looks 15 years ahead. If a debt would take longer at your payments, it says so instead of a month.
